Inspired by Camille Saint-Saëns's Le Carnaval des animaux (1886), musician Marc Melià and choreographer Louise Baduel offer a colourful and inventive re-reading of the work, in a "pop-electro" version. Together, they have created a scenic ecosystem in which the evolution of life is told through abstract forms, choreographic gestures, and a singular musical instrument built from everyday materials.
Far from the figurative choreographic representations we might expect, the show celebrates both the humour and poetry of the composer, while immersing young audiences in a total auditory, chromatic and sensory experience. It's a show that gives free rein to everyone's imagination and feelings.
